She said that over the last number of years we have found that safety awareness has become very important in all workplaces and any job applicant who has a certificate or ticket in the various skills that is required in the workplace has the edge over a job applicant who has not. This course provides these participants with these key requirements she said.

She said the Department have come a long way in terms of delivering an accessible to service to our customers and it is extremely important as a customer to avail of any funding, educational and training opportunities available to you. Christina added that the success of the delivery of these services is the reason why we are here today whereby on the completion of this course it will add to your existing set of skills and/or enhance your prospects of re-entering the workplace.

Eighteen participants received certification from this course and plans are in place to run it again subject to demand. For further information please contact your local South Kerry Local Employment Service.
