Project Biodiversity Officer Wanted
South Kerry Development Partnership wishes to recruit Kerry Eco-Social Farming – Project Biodiversity Officer. Applicants must hold a current full driving licence and have his/her own car. The contract period will run from October 2021 to September 2022. This a full time position. The position will be based at the South Kerry Development Partnership office at Library Place, Killorglin, Co. Kerry. Closing date is on Friday 10th of September at 5pm.

Picnic For Families SICAP
SKDP’s SICAP Community Development Officer in collaboration with our Biosphere Reserve Officer recently hosted a picnic for families at Killarney House. The SKDP staff were supported by puppeteer Seán O’Laoghaire and volunteers from KASI in Killarney who helped with the games & entertainment. Lunch was supplied by Going Green Killarney. This event was funded through the Covid 19 Emergency Fund (Round 2) 2021, our thanks to Kerry County Council and the Department of Rural and Community Development. Our thanks also go to the National Parks and Wildlife Service, for the use of the outdoor space at Killarney House & Gardens.
Executive Education Course
South Kerry Skillnet is extremely excited to announce we are partnering with DCU National Centre for Family Business For their Executive Education course ‘Sustaining the Family Business Across Generations’ this will run from September 13th for three consecutive Mondays. It will explore areas such as succession, family employment, and much more.

KerryLIFE Socio-Economic Evaluation Report
South Kerry Development Partnership was one of the project partners in KerryLIFE – a successful agri-environmental initiative. Over forty farmers in Glencar and Blackwater participated.
