Garda Youth Achievement Awards 2020
Call for Nominations for Kerry Garda Youth Achievement Awards in association with Lee Strand
The Kerry Division of An Garda Síochána in association with Lee Strand Milk are calling for nominations for young people between the ages of 13 years and 21 years to recognise the great contribution young people have made and continue to make to their communities in Kerry during these challenging times. Closing Date Is on Friday February 26th at 12pm.
SICAP Case Study 2020
Here is the latest report on The SICAP Case Study 2020. the Study is on the Delivering Community Responses to Covid-19 through SICAP. The scheme’s aim was to help people in areas where the restrictions had the most impact on them. This included people in disadvantage areas, mental health and rural isolation amongst other areas.

South Kerry Development Partnership are looking for tenders to create a panel of book-keeping mentors. This panel will be part of the Social Inclusion & Community Activation Programme. Closing date for applications is Friday 26th February 2021.
Laptop for Loan Update January 2021
With the financial support received under the Community Enhancement Programme Round 2 2020 from Kerry County Council and the Department of Rural and Community Development SKDP have been able to expand the number of Laptops we have on loan to families and individuals who may require them. Access to technology is more important now than ever and we hope that with these laptops people will be able to avail of access to their education needs and social needs to keep linked in.
These laptops are all currently reserved, unfortunately, but if you should need a laptop on loan in the future, please contact Éadaoin Moynihan, SICAP Community Development Officer 0871906450.

TÚS
TÚS aims to provide short-term, quality work opportunities for those who are unemployed and to provide certain services of benefit to communities. TÚS is managed at a local level, on behalf of the Department of Social Protection, by the Local Development Companies and in the Gaeltacht by Údarás na Gaeltachta. South West Kerry Development Partnership has an allocation of 100 places in its area of operation.
RSS
The aims of the RSS are to provide income support for farmers and fishermen who are currently in receipt of specified Social Welfare payments, and to provide certain services of benefit to rural communities. The RSS allows low-income farmers and fishermen who are unable to earn an adequate living from their farm holding/fishing, to earn a supplementary income.
