FAO parents of 6th year students

There will be a HEAR* talk from 7 to 8 pm followed by a DARE** talk from 8 to 9 pm on Wednesday 22nd November in MTU Kerry Sports Academy in W163. These are open to any parents/guardians who have students in 6th year.

 

The Institute of Guidance Counsellors Fair will take place in MTU KSA from 9 to 2 pm on Thursday 23rd November.  Many universities will be present and various stands covering student supports, etc. will be there too.

*What is HEAR?

The Higher Education Access Route (HEAR) is a higher education admissions scheme for Leaving Certificate students (under 23) whose economic or social background are underrepresented in higher education. https://accesscollege.ie/hear/

**What is DARE?

DARE is a third level alternative admissions scheme for school-leavers whose disabilities have had a negative impact on their second level education. DARE offers reduced points places to school leavers who, as a result of having a disability, have experienced additional educational challenges in second level education. https://accesscollege.ie/dare/
